The exam for the Assessing and Developing Argument unit last 1 hour and 45 minutes, and is broken into three sections.

Section A

Section A consists of 20 multiple choice questions.

Section B

Section B asks you to analyse the argument of a given passage, and answer structured questions about its reasoning.

Section C

For Section C, you must construct further related arguments of your own.

To do well on this paper, you need to have a good understanding of the various elements of arguments, and also of the logical fallacies.

It’s also important that you have the ingenuity to come up with arguments of your own relating to the topic of the paper.
